1. About These Terms

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Arovya iOS application ("the App"), developed and operated by Anand Basavaraj Muddi ("we", "us", "our"), trading as Arovya.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. What Arovya Does

Arovya is a food scanning and supplement tracking application. It helps you:

• Scan food product barcodes and view health scores, ingredient information, and nutrition facts
• Track daily supplement intake and monitor adherence over time
• Access personalised insights about your supplement routine (Pro feature)

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 9 years old to use the App. By using Arovya, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should review these terms with a parent or guardian.

4. Free and Pro Tiers

Arovya is available in two tiers:

• Free: Unlimited barcode scans, basic nutrition score, and the first three ingredients visible per product. One AI label scan per month for products not in our database.
• Pro: Full ingredient list, ingredient risk flags, personalised scoring, dietary conflict alerts, unlimited AI label scans, and all Insights features.

We reserve the right to modify what is included in each tier at any time with reasonable notice.

5. Pro Subscription and Billing

Arovya Pro is available as a monthly or annual subscription, billed through your Apple ID via the App Store.

• Free trial: New Pro subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and your payment method will be charged.
• Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time via your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to Pro features until then.
• Refunds: All billing is handled by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple directly via reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Price changes: We may change subscription prices with advance notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Arovya only for its intended purpose. You must not:

• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App
• Use the App to scan non-food products in order to circumvent usage limits
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the App
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable law or regulation

7. Data Sources and Accuracy

Arovya uses data from OpenFoodFacts (an open-source food product database) and AI-generated analysis via OpenAI. While we aim to provide accurate and useful information:

• We cannot guarantee the accuracy or completeness of food product data
• AI-generated ingredient analysis may contain errors
• Health scores are indicative only and based on general nutritional principles
• Ingredient risk classifications are for general educational purposes and may not reflect your individual health circumstances

You use the information provided by Arovya at your own risk.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding within the App is owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.

OpenFoodFacts data is used under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). User-contributed OpenFoodFacts content is used under the Database Contents Licence (DbCL).

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to health decisions made based on information provided by the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for a Pro subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
